Company Overview Old Kinderhook Resort is a premier, full-service destination nestled in a scenic location, offering guests a wide array of amenities and experiences throughout the year. Our resort spans over 700 acres of beautiful landscape and is dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality, memorable guest experiences, and a dynamic work environment for our team members. Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Public Spaces Attendant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our resort's public areas. Your efforts will ensure that guests enjoy a pristine environment that reflects the high standards of our resort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of public spaces including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas to ensure they are spotless and inviting Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a polished appearance Handle janitorial tasks efficiently using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Assist with industrial cleaning projects when needed, including deep cleaning of large areas or specialized facilities Support housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift by regularly inspecting assigned areas and addressing any issues proactively Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff at all times Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within hospitality or industrial settings Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction Previous hotel or hospitality experience preferred to understand guest service expectations Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues effectively Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and responsibly Experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus Join us as a Public Spaces Attendant and be part of a dedicated team committed to creating an exceptional guest experience through cleanliness and care.
