They manage primary caregiving routines—including feeding, diapering, and sleep scheduling—while supporting early physical and emotional milestones through gentle, sensory-based play. Job Summary We are seeking a warm, attentive, and dependable Infant Room Attendants to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as the primary caregiver for our youngest children, ensuring their physical comfort, emotional security, and overall safety. You will maintain individual care routines provided by families, closely monitor developmental milestones, and ensure the classroom remains clean and fully compliant with state licensing regulations.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesCore Infant Care Administer routine care including diapering, clothing changes, and keeping infants clean and comfortable. Follow strict feeding schedules by bottle-feeding breastmilk or formula, tracking feeding amounts, and introducing solid foods according to parental instructions. Implement safe sleep practices by placing infants to sleep on their backs in designated cribs and supervising nap times closely. Soothe and comfort infants during times of separation anxiety or physical distress through rocking, cuddling, and gentle engagement. Classroom Maintenance & Safety Maintain continuous supervision over all infants to ensure a hazard-free play and rest environment. Sanitize toys, equipment, and changing stations frequently throughout the day to comply with local healthcare and licensing requirements. Uphold required adult-to-child ratios at all times and handle unexpected classroom adjustments with flexibility. Family Communication & Record Keeping Document daily activities using our center's tracking system, logging exact times for diaper changes, fluid intake, solid meals, and naps. Conduct daily check-ins with parents or guardians at drop-off and pick-up to provide personalized updates on their child's mood, health, and developmental progress. Report health or behavioral changes immediately to the center management. Early Development Support Facilitate sensory play and floor-time activities, including tummy time, to help build motor skills. Promote early language skills by reading books, singing songs, and interacting verbally with infants throughout the day.
Skills and Qualifications Experience :
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience caring for infants or toddlers in a licensed daycare, preschool, or professional nanny setting.
Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a credential in Early Childhood Education (such as a CDA) is highly preferred.
Certifications :
Current certification in Infant CPR and First Aid (or a commitment to obtain certification within 30 days of hire).
Legal Requirements :
Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check, fingerprinting, and mandatory drug screening.
Physical Stamina :
Capability to spend extended periods sitting on the floor, kneeling, bending, and safely lifting or carrying infants weighing up to 30 pounds.
