This position is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in residence halls and designated student life spaces through effective planning, supervision, staffing, training, and operational management. The Housekeeping Administrator oversees daily operations, coordinates schedules and special projects, monitors inventory and equipment, and helps ensure compliance with institutional standards for safety, sanitation, and customer service. The position works collaboratively with Housing, Residence Life, and other Student Affairs staff to support student success and enhance the on campus student experience. The Housekeeping Administrator is a working supervisor position and does assist in general housekeeping of the residence halls and student life areas. While the amount of general housekeeping is less overall than other housekeeping staff, the work allows the position to model our standards, quality, and quantity of work for other staff. This role is integral for student move-in and move-out planning and coordinating conferences and camps and turnarounds in the summer. assists staff development, and continuous improvement of housekeeping services to meet the evolving needs of the campus community. Minimum Education/Experience/Skills Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Work Schedule and Hours Typical hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00p.m. Because of the nature of the position occasional afterhours or weekend work is required and is scheduled with notice whenever possible.
