Bed and Breakfast Housekeeper

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our bed and breakfast team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys hospitality, and understands the importance of maintaining high cleanliness standards in a guest-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms Ensure common areas (lobby, dining areas, hallways) are clean and well-maintained Launder linens, towels, and other bedding items Restock guest supplies such as toiletries, coffee, and refreshments Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Follow cleaning procedures and health/safety guidelines Assist with light breakfast setup or cleanup if needed Effectively communicate with other members of staff Provide friendly and respectful interactions with guests when encountered Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and general enthusiasm about creating a home away from home for our guests Qualifications +

Requirements:

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hospitality experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods Reliable transportation and punctuality required Availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Saturdays and Sundays are required at this time.
