POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for accomplishing and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Provide general cleaning and waste removal in resident rooms and all common areas daily. Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; make regular inspections of building areas. As required, provide services in the Laundry area. Report all unusual conditions, behaviors, and/or resident concerns to the appropriate Management/Supervisory staff in a timely manner. Respond and react in a kind, polite, and professional manner with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors. May be required to work independently or assist others in the cleaning of other facilities or residences of the organization. Must adhere to all facility and departmental Fire, Disaster, Threat, and Emergency procedures. Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures in the performance of position responsibilities. Must attend organizational and/or departmental training sessions and/or in-services as scheduled. Demonstrate interest and commitment to work with a diverse senior population. Maintain and facilitate a caring, compassionate and understanding relationship with residents by answering all questions and concerns Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant it using good judgement and ethical conduct. Able to perform job duties and work independently with frequent interruptions. Able to organize, prioritize, and manage time, multiple tasks and projects. Capable of concentrating with large volumes of work and handle pressure. Possess the ability to maintain reliable on-site attendance. Able to work mandatory work days and mandatory OT as needed. Able to meet the physical demands and working environment of the position. Able to follow procedures. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements. Education and/or Experience • One or more years of experience in cleaning and caring for a building preferred. • One or more years of experience in a healthcare or skilled nursing preferred.
