- Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning duties across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring all surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures during cleaning tasks. Conduct light maintenance activities such as changing light bulbs, repairing minor fixtures, and addressing basic plumbing or electrical issues to keep facilities in top condition. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support efficient operations. Maintain floor care standards through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a polished appearance throughout the property. Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and emergency procedures diligently to guarantee guest safety and operational consistency. Support janitorial and custodial efforts by managing supplies inventory, ensuring proper storage, and executing industrial cleaning routines when necessary. Experience Prior experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning techniques, including industrial cleaning methods and floor care practices. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) is essential. Experience with hotel emergency procedures ensures preparedness for any situation requiring swift action. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking during shifts is required. Previous janitorial or custodial experience in hospitality or industrial settings will be considered an asset. A background in hotel experience combined with a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness will help you excel in this role.
