Part-time contractor work Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Cleaner to join our team at a small, historic Inn with seven guestrooms in downtown Marshall. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment and is comfortable interacting with guests in a warm, professional manner. The position requires the ability to work both independently and on busy checkout days, collaboratively with a small housekeeping team Key Responsibilities Clean and prepare guest rooms and common areas to a high standard of quality and consistency Perform detailed cleaning tasks including bed making, bathroom sanitation, vacuuming, dusting, restocking amenities and processing laundry (sheets, quilts, towels) Monitor rooms and public spaces for maintenance or supply needs and report issues promptly Interact professionally and courteously with guests when encountered, answering basic questions and maintaining a hospitable presence Work efficiently both independently and as part of a team to meet check-in timelines Follow established cleaning procedures, safety standards, and Inn policies Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience required Comfortable interacting with guests in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay on task without direct supervision Ability to collaborate well with others during group cleaning shifts Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Physically able to perform cleaning duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying supplies (three floor Inn, stair access only) Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy Schedule & Work Environment Part time contractor work with scheduling flexibility (shift requests are accepted based on your availability) Both weekday and weekend daytime availability preferred but not required Most shifts are between 11am (checkout) and 3pm (check-in) Work takes place in a quiet, scenic setting
