The ideal employee would be in charge of maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the guest rooms. A houseperson's duties also include assisting housekeeping on cleaning the common areas such as hallways, stairwells, furnishings, flooring, and work areas. They must have a servant's heart and be polite, helpful, and upbeat. They should be prepared to hear guests' wants and/or questions and respond accordingly.
