Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the common areas of the hotel to include the lobby, restrooms, pool, business center, elevators and fitness center
  • Assist housekeepers with cleaning of guest rooms, vacuuming of hallways and stocking of carts
  • Assist with preventative maintenance duties as directed by hotel maintenance such as mattress rotation and carpet cleaning
  • Respond to the needs of the guests relating to the maintenance and condition of the hotel
  • Ensure the safety and attractiveness of all hotel areas
  • Perform grounds work and landscaping as needed
  • Approach all encounters with guests as well as employees in a professional and personalized manner throughout all areas of the hotel
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in compliance with hotel standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude at all times
  • Actively participate in daily briefings and meetings
  • Understand and execute hotel emergency procedures if an incident should occur
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service Management Contributions for

  • Provide feedback throughout training process
  • Assist with any training that may be required to enhance job performance
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills This job requires the ability to perform the following:
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push and pull
  • Prolonged standing and moving about the hotel
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
  • Frequently bending, stooping and kneeling
  • Able to work alone as well as being a team member
  • Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
