Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will ensure that our commercial or residential spaces remain spotless, safe, and welcoming for all occupants and visitors. Your energetic approach to cleaning and maintenance will help create a pristine environment that reflects our commitment to excellence and professionalism. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in various cleaning techniques while contributing to the overall safety and appearance of our facilities. 2x a week cleaning after 5:30pm Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain hygiene standards. Operate floor care equipment including buffers, polishers, and scrubbers to ensure high-quality floor maintenance. Assist with industrial cleaning projects or specialized cleaning tasks as needed, including high dusting or deep-cleaning procedures. Maintain cleanliness of designated areas according to established safety protocols and company standards. Monitor supply levels and restock cleaning materials to ensure operational efficiency. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for immediate resolution. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with a strong understanding of commercial or residential cleaning practices. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing. Ability to operate cleaning machinery including vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Strong physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions clearly and work independently or as part of a team.
