Housekeeper

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment. This role is essential in providing exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction in hospitality settings or maintaining cleanliness standards in other environments. The Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, surface sanitation, and general housekeeping duties, utilizing their experience in janitorial, industrial, or custodial work. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques. Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure availability for guests and staff. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized and disinfected to promote health and safety standards. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, buffers, and extractors. Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly for repair or replacement. Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment. Support team members with additional custodial or janitorial tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency. Experience Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods highly desirable. Experience with housekeeping management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not required. Familiarity with hotel standards or institutional cleaning procedures is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
