About the
Role:
The Room Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This position ensures that every guest experiences a comfortable, hygienic, and welcoming environment by performing thorough cleaning and restocking duties. The Room Attendant contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation by adhering to established standards of cleanliness and safety. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while managing time effectively. Ultimately, the Room Attendant supports the hotel's operational success by creating a positive and memorable stay for all guests.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with hotel safety and sanitation protocols. Basic knowledge of guest service principles. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Multilingual skills to assist a diverse guest population.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms according to hotel standards. Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items to ensure guest comfort. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during cleaning to the appropriate department. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries related to room services.

The required skills such as attention to detail and physical stamina are essential for performing thorough cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene daily. Effective communication skills enable the Room Attendant to interact professionally with guests and team members, ensuring requests and issues are addressed promptly.
