Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper V to join our environmental services team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of our facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. Your expertise in cleaning protocols and attention to detail will help uphold the highest standards of sanitation and safety across all areas. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Conduct floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces. Follow established sanitation protocols aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and environmental surfaces in compliance with hospital or facility regulations. Restock supplies such as paper products, hand sanitizers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability. Document completed tasks accurately in maintenance logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly. Adhere to infection control policies and environmental services procedures to prevent contamination and promote health safety. Skills Proven janitorial or custodial experience within healthcare or commercial settings, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning techniques and safety standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety, chemical handling, and infection control practices. Skilled in various cleaning methods including floor care, sanitation procedures, and specialized environmental services. Experience with hospital or healthcare environment protocols is highly desirable. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, and floor polishers safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards consistently. $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
