The beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Syracuse has an opening for part-time Banquet Set-up Houseperson. In this role, you would be responsible setting and cleaning banquet facilities for functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Correctly and efficiently set up and break down all department functions. Keep function room area and storage areas clean and neat at all times. Return all equipment not in use to proper storage area in clean condition before the end of each shift Check electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords for equipment in use. Service/freshen all meeting rooms during breaks. Assist guests whenever possible, referring all requests which are beyond scope of responsibility immediately to supervisor. Perform periodic deep cleaning of banquet areas Be familiar with the various types of workable setups for each function room. Experience in the hospitality industry and banquet/catering experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to: Physically perform the tasks required of this position (listed above) Communicate with supervisors, coworkers and guests Follow direction and work independently
