Job Description
Hopkins Court is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, guests, and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, preparing vacant apartments for new residents, and supporting the overall appearance of the community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain all common areas, including hallways, offices, restrooms, laundry facilities, community rooms, and break areas. Clean and prepare vacant apartments (make-ready units) for new residents. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces. Shampoo carpets and clean area rugs as needed. Clean windows, windowsills, mirrors, doors, and other interior surfaces. Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the property. Restock restroom and housekeeping supplies as needed. Operate housekeeping equipment, including vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor buffers, mops, and other cleaning tools. Change HVAC air filters and clean vents as assigned. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management. Follow all company safety policies and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment. Assist with seasonal cleaning projects and community events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, apartment, hotel, or related cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment. Ability to work independently while effectively managing daily responsibilities. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills. Reliable transportation to and from work. Availability to work a full-time schedule during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or schedule adjustments as business needs require. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
