Hotel Houseperson

Job Description:

A Houseperson performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. You will support the housekeeping team by keeping guest and public areas spotless, managing linens and supplies, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From assisting with room inspection to delivering items and responding to guest needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Vacuums, mops, and sanitizes high-traffic zones like the lobby, elevators, public restrooms, and fitness centers. Empties outdoor trash bins, cleans entryways, and occasionally services pool areas or patios Stocks housekeeping closets with clean linens, towels, and toiletries so room attendants can work efficiently. Transports bags of dirty laundry to the laundry room and delivers fresh linens to housekeeping carts. Fulfills urgent requests from the front desk or guests, such as delivering extra pillows, towels, or blankets directly to rooms Replaces burned-out light bulbs, tightens loose fixtures, and reports larger repair tickets to the engineering or maintenance team.

Must Haves:

Ability to stand for full shifts Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and guest service skills Able to work independently without supervision Flexible schedule availability (including weekends/holidays)

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, push, and pull weights of up to 50 pounds. High physical stamina requires frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and walking throughout an entire shift.

Pay:

$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
