Job Overview Join our dedicated environmental services team as a Housekeeping Laundry Aide, where your energy and attention to detail will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards through laundry and janitorial tasks, supporting the overall sanitation efforts of our facility. Your proactive approach and commitment to hygiene will directly contribute to the health and comfort of our residents, patients, or staff. Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment efficiently to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, uniforms, and other textiles according to established protocols. Perform routine cleaning duties across various areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold sanitation standards. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Maintain proper storage and handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals in compliance with safety regulations. Conduct floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to preserve the facility's appearance. Assist with waste disposal and sanitation procedures to promote environmental health within the facility. Document laundry loads, cleaning activities, and supply usage accurately for operational tracking. Requirements Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or commercial settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and environmental services standards. Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols related to chemical handling and workplace safety. Experience with floor care equipment such as buffers or scrubbers is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene excellence. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks effectively.
