Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dorm Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of student dormitories. This vital role ensures a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents by performing thorough cleaning and custodial tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced residential setting. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning of dorm rooms, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, and shared facilities using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a spotless appearance. Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linens to ensure residents have what they need. Conduct routine inspections to identify areas requiring additional attention or maintenance needs. Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or damage. Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups or replacing fixtures when necessary. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards consistently. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in residential or commercial cleaning environments. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and carpet cleaning is highly desirable. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures is a plus. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices such as basic repairs or painting enhances your suitability for this role. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and safety guidelines. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
