THE NEXT CHAPTER HOUSE PART-TIME RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT STAFF
Position Summary The Next Chapter House is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Residential Support Staff member to assist residents in a supportive housing environment. This position focuses on preparing meals, providing medication reminders and documentation, monitoring resident well-being, and performing light housekeeping duties. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 2-4 hours per day. Responsibilities Resident Support Check on residents and monitor their overall well-being. Provide encouragement, support, and supervision as needed. Report concerns, incidents, or changes in resident condition to management. Help maintain a safe, respectful, and positive living environment. Meal Preparation Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks. Follow basic food safety and sanitation practices. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Medication Assistance Provide medication reminders and assistance as permitted by facility policies. Complete required medication documentation. Report medication refusals or concerns. Housekeeping Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas. Sweep, mop, and maintain common living areas. Empty trash and assist with general household cleanliness. Report maintenance or safety concerns. Documentation Complete daily logs and required resident documentation. Maintain accurate and timely records. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to pass required background checks. Experience in caregiving, mental health, recovery support, or residential services is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform light cleaning tasks. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
