About the Role We're searching for a Full-Time Housekeeper with at least 3 years of experience, ideally in a Skilled Nursing Facility, who understands that cleanliness isn't just a task—it's a key part of quality care. You'll play a vital role in keeping our community safe, sanitary, comfortable, and inviting for residents, visitors, and staff every single day. Administrative & Teamwork Follow daily cleaning schedules to keep things running smoothly Communicate and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure resident areas are always respected Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly (no detail is too small!) Professional Growth & Collaboration Attend staff meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions Participate in ongoing education including OSHA, CDC, TB, and infection control training Support department projects and quality initiatives Safety, Sanitation & Infection Control Maintain clean, safe, attractive living and common areas Follow fire safety, infection control, and universal precautions Safely handle cleaning chemicals using proper PPE and labeling Perform isolation and terminal cleaning procedures when needed Dispose of waste—including infectious materials—according to policy Hands-On Housekeeping Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices Sweep, mop, wax, buff, vacuum, shampoo carpets, and disinfect surfaces Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and baseboards Maintain hallways, stairwells, elevators, and entryways Prepare and clean vacant rooms for new residents Equipment & Supplies Keep housekeeping carts, closets, and equipment clean and stocked Report supply needs and maintenance issues (burned out lights, faulty equipment, etc.) Properly clean, store, and maintain tools and equipment at the end of every shift What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years housekeeping experience Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred Knowledge of infection control and safety standards Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused Ability to lift, move equipment, and follow safety procedures Why You'll Love Working Here At The Villa at Marymount, housekeeping isn't behind the scenes—it's front and center in resident comfort and care.
