Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and ensure that our residential or commercial spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance tasks to create a welcoming environment for residents, guests, or clients. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to manage time efficiently will be key to your success. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors to maintain a pristine environment. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care. Conduct outdoor work as needed, including outdoor cleaning, trash removal, and yard maintenance to uphold property appearance. Ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed during cleaning routines to promote health and safety standards. Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies safely using manual handling techniques. Maintain cleanliness of all areas by performing janitorial duties in residential or commercial settings. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' or clients' needs promptly and professionally. Use appropriate floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and floor polishing to preserve flooring quality. Manage time effectively to complete daily tasks within designated schedules while maintaining high-quality standards. Support housekeeping management by assisting with inventory control, scheduling, and training new team members when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in residential cleaning, hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or commercial cleaning environments. Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and cleaning techniques across various surfaces and materials. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Experience with laundry operations and carpet or floor care is highly desirable. Knowledge of janitorial equipment operation and maintenance is a plus. Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not required.
