Job Description
We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team! The Common Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public and shared spaces, such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and other communal areas. This position ensures all common areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards, providing a welcoming and safe environment for residents, guests, and visitors. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all assigned common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, lounges, elevators, and stairwells. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed to maintain cleanliness. Deliver guest supplies to units as requested. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly. Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels in public restrooms. Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor. Monitor and report any damage or safety concerns in common areas. Follow safety protocols and use appropriate signage when cleaning. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, or staff. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
Preferred:
Housekeeping or laundry experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, hotel operations, healthcare) Physical Requirements Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job Benefits We offer flexible schedules, excellent training, competitive wages, work-life balance, job satisfaction, and promotion opportunities.
