Under the direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor and Team Lead, this position is responsible for supporting the Machine Shop by setting up tooling for the Machinists.
Work Type:
This position will be based onsite at our Milwaukie, OR facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
Shift Timings:
1st shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; on-the-job training
Responsibilities:
Meet performance standards per job/task, as outlined on product routers. Ability to manage supplier relationships that foster partnership while minimizing costs, improving service and maximizing quality. Keep tool room organized and clean. Participates in Continuous Improvement and LEAN activities. Operate overhead crane, jib hoist, and other lifting devices safely and properly. Maintain safe and organized work area, including end of shift clean up and light maintenance in accordance with 5S standards. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisor(s) and coworker(s). Always use and follow personal protective equipment program. Required to adhere to all safety programs and policies. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provide peer job training. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is between $20.00 and $22.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
Knowledge/Education:
High School diploma or equivalent experience Basic understanding of measurement equipment: calipers, mics. Must be organized and able to meet deadlines.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with teams (example- Machine Shop, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, etc.) Excellent computer proficiency in MS Office applications. Intermittent walking, use of hand/wrist, and bending/twisting Occasionally pushing/pulling, and crouching Must carry 1 to 40 pounds occasionally Continuous standing and lifting/lowering 40 pounds or more lifting device available
