Commercial Cleaning Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various commercial settings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Cleaning Technician will ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment for clients and staff. Please note, drug testing is mandatory and cannabis and other drug use (including any forms of alcohol) will not be tolerated on site and is grounds for immediate termination. Please note, lying, exaggerating on your time sheets, or purposefully stretching out your work tasks to take longer is also not tolerated. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure effective sanitation practices. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report any maintenance issues. Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies. Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary. Manage the time it takes to complete the tasks and adjust your urgency as needed. Skills Must have reliable transportation and and reliable phone service. Prior experience in cleaning is a plus but not required. Must have physical stamina and ability to life and move objects up to 40 lbs . Must be able to follow MSDS protocols. Prior knowledge of proper floor cleaning techniques is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of janitorial practices, including the use of various cleaning agents and equipment. Clean hygiene and neat attire. Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
