They manage the physical cleaning of rooms, replenish supplies, and ensure guest satisfaction through high standards of hygiene and prompt service. [1, 2]
Key Responsibilities Room Cleaning:
Perform daily cleaning and deep cleaning of guest bedrooms and bathrooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. [1, 2]
Replenishment:
Stock rooms with fresh towels, toiletries, drinking glasses, and other in-room amenities. [1, 2]
Supply Management:
Organize and stock the housekeeping cart at the start and end of each shift, and report low inventory to supervisors. [1, 2]
Guest Services:
Respond politely to guest inquiries and fulfill requests for miscellaneous items (e.g., extra pillows, cribs, or toiletries). [1, 2]
Security & Reporting:
Report maintenance issues, property damage, and safety hazards to management. Log all lost-and-found items according to hotel policy. [1, 2, 3] Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move continuously for the duration of a shift (typically 8 hours). Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects (often up to \(50\text{ lbs}\)). Stamina to meet daily productivity quotas, such as cleaning 12 to 20 rooms per shift depending on property standards.
