Job Description Job Description R esponsibilities: 1. Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as, state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes. 2. Manage the storeroom/tool inventories; receive all supplies in addition to the maintenance and tool inventories. 3. Maintain all necessary parts/supplies using both physical inventory and database systems. 4. Receive maintenance and production supplies and parts and store them properly in their designated areas. 5. Monitor usage of supplies and parts to ensure that sufficient inventories are being maintained and that waste is avoided. 6. Alert Lead Storeroom Attendant when inventory usage (parts and/or supplies) is in excess of normal and/or understocked. 7. Keep the storeroom and auxiliary area neat and clean according to the "like or better than new" standard and by storing all supplies. 8. Benchmark preferred vendors, preferred parts, and other Victaulic storerooms to determine and implement best practices. 9. Work with the Supervisors and other pertinent personnel to set up and implement practices and procedures for proper distribution of all parts/supplies. 10. Run appropriate reports. 11. Participate in QWG/QIP process. Qualifications (education, experience, skills, personal attributes): 1. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. 2. Two years' experience with inventory systems (preferably in the Maintenance area) desired. 3. Good organizational skills a must. 4. Must be willing to work weekends, extended hours, or other shifts as necessary. 5. Must maintain a professional appearance/demeanor. 6. Must have basic computer skills (two years' experience preferred). 7. Must maintain good performance and attendance records. 8. Must have good communication skills and be able to work with a variety of different people. #IR123
