Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Housekeepers are responsible for cleaning assigned guest rooms and common areas daily, meeting the standards of The Best Western Inn at Blakeslee Poconos. Applicants must be 18 or older.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Remove trash and dirty linens from guestrooms and hallways. Clean and sanitize guestrooms thoroughly to hotel standards. Restock guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for housekeeping carts. Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public areas, and closets. Report any room issues (e.g., smoke odor, damage, missing items) to management. Ensure overall guest satisfaction. Attend staff and morning meetings as required. Assist with laundry when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand for entire shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Strong time management and attention to detail. Reliable, positive attitude; experience not necessary (training provided).
SKILLS:
Effective verbal and written communication. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Adherence to hotel standards.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Weekend and holiday work is mandatory . Hours vary with hotel occupancy.
