Now Hiring Housekeeping & Laundry Aides! Aventura at Creekside Aventura at Creekside is looking for dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Housekeeping & Laundry Aides to join our Environmental Services team. Our Housekeeping & Laundry Aides play an essential role in enhancing the comfort, health, and well-being of our residents by maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized facility. Position Summary The Housekeeping & Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining rooms, and other areas throughout the facility. This role also assists with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident linens and personal clothing while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention. Responsibilities Housekeeping Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, dining areas, lounges, and common spaces. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect assigned areas. Perform discharge cleaning of resident rooms. Collect and properly dispose of trash and recyclables. Maintain cleanliness of furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Follow all infection prevention, sanitation, and safety protocols. Laundry Wash, dry, fold, sort, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens. Label and organize resident personal belongings as needed. Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Report damaged linens or equipment to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized laundry department. Additional Responsibilities Follow all Environmental Services policies and procedures. Maintain resident confidentiality and respect resident rights. Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with dignity, kindness, and professionalism. Participate in in-service training and quality improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility operations. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping, laundry, hospitality, or healthcare experience is preferred, but not required. Long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus. Skills & Qualifications Positive attitude and genuine compassion for the elderly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent time management and reliability. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
