Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, patient rooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health and safety standards, adhering to OSHA guidelines for workplace safety and sanitation. Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper care techniques such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning as needed. Restock supplies in restrooms and other common areas to ensure continuous availability of essentials. Follow established protocols for waste disposal and environmental services to promote a hygienic environment. Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety procedures related to environmental services and hospital standards. Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred; experience in hospital or healthcare environments is a plus. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety, cleaning procedures, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment through proper sanitation practices. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties throughout the shift. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
