Job Description

Job Title:
Housekeeper Position Summary The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors throughout the Personal Care Home. This position plays a vital role in supporting resident health, safety, and quality of life by ensuring resident rooms and common areas are consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common areas. Make beds and change linens according to facility schedules and resident needs. Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors, furniture, and fixtures. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Clean windows, mirrors, and other surfaces as assigned. Restock housekeeping supplies, paper products, and toiletries as needed. Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or unusual conditions to the supervisor promptly. Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Handle cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and facility policies. Respect resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Interact courteously and professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff. Assist with special cleaning projects and perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, personal care, assisted living, nursing home, or hospitality setting preferred, but not required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
