POSITION SUMMARY
The Overnight Housekeeping staff is responsible for ensuring that all guests experience a clean and pleasant environment throughout their stay. As such, the individual selected to join this team must be able to maintain impeccable cleanliness across various sections of the resort, including guest rooms, restrooms, lobby areas, and hallways. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and should always strive to to exceed guests' expectations to uphold Nemacolin's luxury hospitality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.) Clean and reset guest rooms and restrooms according to established standards. Organize and stock cleaning carts and linen closets on assigned floors. Complete assigned work in an accurate and timely manner. Report any and all maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or resort maintenance team. Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests. Clean and maintain public areas of the resort, including lobby areas and restrooms. Remove trash and empty ashtrays in designated public areas. Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management to help support various functions during high occupancy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. Must be flexible in schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be task and detail-oriented, energetic, and able to follow specific directions and meet high physical demands. Must be able to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
