Innkeeper

Position Summary Tillie Pierce House Inn is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms and common areas to a high standard of cleanliness and hospitality. This role supports daily turnover, deep cleaning, laundry, and light stocking to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities Clean and reset guest rooms between stays (beds, bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, floors, surfaces, trash removal). Refresh occupied rooms as scheduled (towels/linens, tidy, amenities, light cleaning). Clean and maintain common areas (entry, hallways, sitting areas, dining areas, restrooms, porches/patios as applicable). Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and towels; track par levels and report shortages. Restock guest amenities and housekeeping supplies; notify management when inventory is low. Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks (baseboards, windows, vents, appliances, upholstery, etc.). Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, lost-and-found items, and unusual room conditions promptly. Follow checklists and property standards to ensure consistent quality and readiness. Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions; follow infection-control and safety procedures. Provide friendly, discreet service and respect guest privacy at all times. Required Qualifications High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards. Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to follow written checklists and verbal instructions. Comfortable working around guests with professionalism and discretion. Ability to safely use common cleaning products and equipment. Must be able to pass any background check required by the Inn. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year housekeeping experience in a hotel, inn, vacation rental, or similar hospitality setting. Experience with laundry operations (linens, stain treatment, folding/organization). Ability to prioritize tasks during same-day turnovers and busy weekends.

Pay:

$13-14 Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb stairs. Ability to lift and carry up to [25-35] lbs (linens, supplies) with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in environments with common cleaning chemicals and fragrances.
