Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Maintaining a neat, clean appearance in all public areas of the Hotel, including hallways, lobbies, dining rooms, etc. Reporting any necessary repairs Dusting and cleaning furniture Cleaning all ladies' rooms Emptying trash, vacuuming, emptying ash trays Finishing late checkout rooms and periodically helping to clean other guest rooms. Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age older.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Similar work experience is helpful, but not necessary. Friendly personality and neat appearance. Considerable walking involved with some heavy lifting and pushing required. Must be able to communicate with guests. Ability to work independently and be motivated.
Job Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Normal working hours will be 1st shift (hours vary depending upon housecount); weekends and holidays. Two days off will vary. Proper footwear to be provided by employee. Will be working around cleaning chemicals. This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on seniority. The candidate must be able to meet scheduled requirements which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
