Edenbrook Hampton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our team.
Position:
Housekeeper/Laundry Aide (Part-time)
Schedule:
2pm-8pm (every other weekend and holiday 6am-2pm)
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment throughout the facility. Your work ensures the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors while helping create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility spaces according to established cleaning protocols Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and buffing Remove trash and soiled linens and restock supplies as needed Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, and staff Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience in any housekeeping field preferred Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff. Knowledge of infection control techniques. Ability to be patient and polite. Why Join Us?
