In this role, the individual will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across the facility. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and office spaces; properly using approved cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer guidelines; emptying trash and replacing liners; dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping surfaces; and performing deep cleaning of floors using specialized equipment. Additional responsibilities include restocking supplies, assisting with laundry and linen services as needed, emptying and cleaning water dispenser trays on a weekly basis, reporting maintenance concerns, and adhering to infection control and safety standards. The position also requires participation in required training sessions and meetings to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities Cleaning and sanitizing designated areas including patient rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and office spaces. Utilizes agency approved cleaning chemicals and closely follows manufacturer usage instructions. Emptying trash and replacing garbage bags. Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors. Deep clean flooring using carpet and hard surface floor cleaning machines. Restocking supplies in restrooms and common areas. Reports any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Following infection control and safety guidelines. Assisting with laundry and linen services as needed. High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 1-2 years of housekeeping or EVS experience , preferably in a healthcare or residential facility Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact respectfully with patients, families, and clinical team members Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control standards, and safety practices Ability to properly use agency-approved cleaning chemicals and follow manufacturer instructions Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks efficiently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Willingness to assist with laundry and linen services as needed Ability to report maintenance and repair issues appropriately Commitment to attending required trainings and meetings
Physical Requirements Include:
Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds and carry such weight for distances up to 50 feet Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to safely navigate stairs and work in various areas of the facility Capability to perform reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, and deep floor cleaning Ability to operate carpet and hard surface floor cleaning equipment Comfortable working with housekeeping/cleaning agents and chemicals Exposure to humidity, heat from cleaning equipment, and varying noise levels Potential exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids, requiring adherence to infection control protocols Benefits $19 per hour Free lunch provided daily Regularly scheduled, 8-hour Day Shift Paid Time Off Paid Holidays for Full-time staff Medical, Dental, Vision, and Aflac plans available for Full-time staff Retirement plan with discretionary employer match
