As a Lead Housekeeper with Northern Michigan Escapes, you play a vital role in assisting investment property owners and homeowners in maintaining and enhancing the value of their investments. This position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Team serving clients in the Boyne City and Charlevoix areas. Key Responsibilities:

Perform various cleaning and laundry duties, including lifting and transporting cleaning supplies and linens to and from properties and various linen management activities. Inspect work to ensure adherence to prescribed standards of cleanliness, fostering teamwork and coordination of efforts among staff. Conduct property inspections after guests depart or during checkout cleaning to identify any damages. Report any damages to Housekeeping Manager. Consistently document and communicate housekeeping needs while coordinating with the Housekeeping Manager. Assist in training new employees and ensuring proper use of equipment and materials. Serve as a role model to the Housekeeping Team, consistently demonstrating best practices. Assume the role of Housekeeping Manager on the Manager's days off.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of housekeeping experience. Familiarity with an iPad is highly valued.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be in good physical condition with overall strength and flexibility to perform various tasks, including walking, bending, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance, reaching, hearing, and seeing. Functional hand and finger dexterity is required. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive a vehicle. Candidates must be free of physical limitations; reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and weekdays. Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently within a team and independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional customer service skills, including effective communication with guests and the ability to manage problems or crises in a highly professional manner. Strong multitasking ability with accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow directions thoroughly. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability and desire to lead and train a team while maintaining harmony and high morale.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends, with variations based on occupancy and season. This position is based at our Boyne City, MI., location and requires in-person attendance. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role.
