Job Description

Powdersville Post Acute is a 60-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility located in Easley, S.C. just moments away from downtown Greenville. Here, we believe that no single job is more important than another. You'll routinely see our leadership team making rounds and checking in to make sure everyone feels supported and heard. A culture rooted in treating you with value and respect General Purpose The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position ensures that all areas of the facility are free of obstacles, odors, and debris, contributing to the overall health and comfort of those in our care. Essential Duties Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors. Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly. Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris. Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers. Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed. Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility. Follow safety protocols, including using caution signage and storing chemicals securely. Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions. Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary. Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing. Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment. Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude. Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently. Work independently or as part of a team to meet facility standards. Supervisory Requirements This position has no supervisory requirements. Qualification High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. Repetitive motion tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces Use of cleaning equipment and supplies throughout the shift Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to needs PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country.
