$16.00 per hour About Us Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is a 92-room hotel located in the heart of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, just minutes from historic Charleston, area beaches, and some of the region's top shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations. We are seeking dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our Housekeeping team as Room Attendants. Our housekeeping team plays one of the most important roles in the hotel. Clean, comfortable, and welcoming guestrooms are at the heart of every great guest experience, and our Room Attendants take pride in creating an environment where guests can relax and feel at home. Position Summary The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and public areas while maintaining Hyatt brand standards and ensuring every guest receives a clean, safe, and comfortable stay. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. Essential Functions Guestroom Cleaning Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to Hyatt brand standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities. Clean bathrooms, mirrors, fixtures, floors, and guestroom surfaces. Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas. Inspect guestrooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and functionality. Quality & Standards Ensure guestrooms are guest-ready and meet hotel quality expectations. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and room deficiencies promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage areas, and workspaces. Follow all hotel cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures. Guest Interaction Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Respond politely to guest requests and communicate needs to appropriate departments. Help create a welcoming environment through professionalism and attention to detail. Teamwork Work closely with fellow housekeeping team members and hotel departments. Assist with special projects, deep cleaning, and public area cleaning as assigned. Support the overall success of the hotel by maintaining high cleanliness standards. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Previous housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, custodial, or related experience preferred. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Strong attention to detail. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
