Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The Hotel Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, attractive, and comfortable guest rooms and public areas while providing excellent service to guests. This position plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience by ensuring the hotel is clean, safe, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards. Change bed linens, make beds, and replace used towels and amenities. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms, hallways, and common areas. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, and mirrors. Empty trash containers and dispose of waste properly. Replenish guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, coffee, cups, and tissues. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged items, or missing items to management. Ensure all assigned rooms are completed within the required time frame. Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and supply areas in an organized and clean manner. Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and security procedures. Respond politely and professionally to guest requests. Assist with cleaning public areas, laundry, or special projects when needed. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, walk, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed. Basic communication skills in English. Preferred Skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Customer service skills and professional appearance. Knowledge of hotel cleaning standards and chemical safety. Experience using housekeeping equipment and supplies. Work Schedule Full-time or part-time positions available. Typical shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overtime may be required during busy seasons or special events. Physical Requirements Frequently stand and walk for 6-8 hours per shift. Lift and move housekeeping carts, linens, and cleaning supplies. Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs regularly. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
