Housekeeping / Laundry Aide

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing in accordance with facility protocols. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines for safe cleaning practices. Ensure all surfaces are disinfected properly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment. Use floor care equipment for sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors to preserve their appearance and safety. Restock cleaning supplies and linens regularly to ensure smooth daily operations. Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisory staff. Requirements Previous janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare or environmental services is preferred but not required. Experience with hospital or healthcare facility sanitation practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
