ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for the organization, distribution, and control of tools, equipment, and supplies to support daily production and field operations. This role ensures tools are properly issued, tracked, and returned while maintaining accurate inventory and accountability. The Tool Room Attendant also supports facility cleanliness, assists with material handling and deliveries, and helps ensure all items are properly signed out and documented to maintain efficiency and compliance within operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist in the tool room by issuing tools and equipment to supervisors and employees
Maintain accurate tool logs, including tracking issuance and returns
Order, receive, and process tool room supplies using ERP systems and approved vendors
Organize, prepare, and fulfill hardware orders and shipments
Stock and maintain tool room shelves in an organized and presentable condition
Deliver materials and ordered items to departments as needed
Assist with off-site runs (town runs) to support operational needs
Operate a forklift safely and assist with general material handling as required
Perform additional duties as assigned to support facility and operational needs
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas to maintain a safe, orderly facility
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is a reliable, safety-focused individual with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. They are dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable managing inventory and following strict procedures for tool control and distribution. This individual works well both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow in the role.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
Experience in carpentry, mold building setup, or related hands-on trade work preferred, with ability to use hand tools safely
Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to company standards
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including following direction from supervisors and tool room staff
Strong time management and reliability with the ability to follow schedules, maintain commitments, and support operational needs
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
