Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Houseman, where your energy and attention to detail will play a vital role in maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of guest areas, service spaces, and public areas. Your proactive approach will ensure that every guest experiences a spotless, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry while contributing to exceptional guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces. Assist with hotel setup and breakdown for events or special functions, ensuring all areas are prepared and returned to standard. Support housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring storage areas are organized. Handle janitorial tasks such as waste removal, window cleaning, and detailed surface sanitation throughout the property. Maintain safety protocols during cleaning procedures and operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas meet health and safety regulations while delivering an outstanding guest experience. Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is highly preferred. Experience with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction is a plus. Background in hospitality or hotel environments demonstrates familiarity with industry standards. Strong knowledge of cleaning products, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
