The Banquets Houseperson plays a key role in supporting the execution of meetings, weddings, and special events by ensuring event spaces are properly set, maintained, and reset with precision and care. This role works behind the scenes to support the Banquets and Catering team, helping deliver seamless, polished, and well-executed experiences for every guest. Requested Tasks Set up and break down meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event areas according to BEO specifications Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, and equipment to meet event requirements Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet and meeting spaces throughout events Assist with resetting rooms between events in a timely and efficient manner Support Banquet team members with event needs and logistics Transport and set up equipment, furniture, and supplies as required Monitor event spaces and respond quickly to changes or additional requests Maintain storage areas, equipment, and back-of-house spaces in an organized manner Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly Follow all safety procedures and proper equipment handling guidelines Requested Capabilities Prior experience in banquets, events, or hospitality support roles preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Positive attitude and willingness to support team members Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Professional and service-oriented demeanor Required to stand and walk for long periods of time As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
