Job Description

Canine Cowboy is a cozy-kennel free dog resort located in Aubrey, TX. We are dog lovers providing compassionate care to dogs and their parents. We pride ourselves on being the best in the business, providing dogs with top quality care and being attentive to pet parents every need. We believe life is more fun with dogs! We are hiring for a part time kennel technician/housekeeper. The kennel technician/housekeeper is expected to maintain a high level of cleanliness for our doggie guests. Proper sanitizing techniques will be taught. This is a cleaning job•if you do not like cleaning this job is not for you. The ideal candidate is an A team player with a strong attention to detail & a high level of cleanliness. If you like to clean & keep things clean this is the job for you! This position will work 4 days a week on these days: Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon. Start time is 5:50am and finishes at 12:30 or 1:00 pm depending on the amount of work that day. The opportunity for extra hours is available on Friday & Saturday depending on business needs. Times and days are NOT negotiable. We are a growing company. There is room for advancement to other positions in the company or potentially moving to a full time housekeeping position as we grow. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working around dogs•while you will not be working directly with dogs, you will be working in a room with 20-30 dogs. Since you will be working in a room with dogs, training on how to enter the room and interact with dogs will be provided. Candidates should be able to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
Tasks include:
Monitor dogs outside during morning potty break Scooping dog poop and taking to dumpster Changing out dog beds, linens Laundry Sweeping, moping, & vacuuming Cleaning up dog pee, poop, & puke accidents as soon as they happen Scrubbing the walls Dusting the walls Dusting all surfaces where dust settles Cleaning kitchen Cleaning bathrooms Doing dishes Taking out trash Clean and keep tidy outdoor areas And any other tasks as assigned
Essential Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to follow detailed directions A positive happy attitude (dogs feed off of people's energy, negativity is not permitted) Dependable & reliable•must show up to work on time everyday Professionalism•maintain a professional clean appearance and interact with guests in a professional manner Attention to detail
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Experience is not required but is preferred•we will train the correct candidate Must be able to pass a background check Authorized to work in the United States Must be able to work holidays & weekends, no exceptions. This is a long-term position. Candidates who cannot commit to a long-term (2+yrs) position should not apply.
