Job Description
Job Summary ZIWA Corporation is seeking a dependable Custodian / Facilities Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional environment throughout Company offices, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, warehouse areas, and common spaces. This position is responsible for daily housekeeping, waste removal, facility support, supply monitoring, and general upkeep of Company facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean workplace, works independently, and helps ensure employees, customers, vendors, and visitors experience a safe, clean, and professional environment. Responsibilities Cleaning & Housekeeping Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean offices, hallways, entrances, conference rooms, kitchens, break rooms, and common areas. Dust desks, furniture, windowsills, baseboards, vents, blinds, shelves, and other surfaces. Clean interior glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces. Maintain conference rooms, reception areas, and common spaces in a clean and professional condition. Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, training sessions, and Company events. Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs, maintenance concerns, or safety issues. Restroom Maintenance Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, countertops, partitions, and fixtures. Replenish restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, air fresheners, and related items. Ensure restrooms remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the workweek. Kitchen & Break Room Support Clean and sanitize refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, countertops, sinks, tables, and cabinets. Remove expired, abandoned, or spoiled food items as necessary. Restock coffee, sugar, creamer, bottled water, paper towels, cups, utensils, napkins, and related break room supplies. Maintain kitchens, break rooms, and coffee stations in a clean and organized condition. Replenish water stations and bottled water supplies throughout Company facilities. Trash & Recycling Empty trash receptacles daily throughout offices, conference rooms, kitchens, restrooms, warehouse areas, and exterior collection points. Remove and dispose of cardboard boxes, packaging materials, recyclables, and warehouse waste. Transport trash and recycling to designated collection areas. Maintain exterior dumpster and trash collection areas in a clean and orderly condition. Facilities & Inventory Support Monitor and track janitorial, restroom, kitchen, coffee, water, and break room supplies. Notify management when supplies require replenishment. Organize janitorial closets, storage rooms, and supply areas. Receive, organize, and store facility-related deliveries and supplies. Report maintenance issues, damaged property, safety concerns, plumbing issues, lighting issues, or facility repairs to management. Assist with light warehouse housekeeping and facility organization. Support special cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous custodial, housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a consistent cleaning schedule. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
