Responsibilities Operate industrial laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and pressing equipment efficiently and safely. Sort laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling. Perform cleaning tasks including folding, ironing, pressing, and packaging linens or uniforms for distribution. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces. Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling and machine operation to prevent accidents. Assist with special cleaning requests like dry cleaning or stain removal when necessary. Keep accurate records of laundry loads processed and report any equipment malfunctions promptly. Skills Proven experience with laundry operations or in a hospitality environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal. Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina for standing long periods, lifting heavy loads, and performing repetitive tasks. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to laundry services.
