Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Housekeeper to join our outstanding team! $15.50 - $17.50 /hr Part Time opening! The Housekeeping position at the Southern Utah Veterans Home is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards and protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces. Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces. Dispose of trash and waste materials in a timely and sanitary manner. Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages observed during cleaning duties. Follow all safety and infection control procedures to maintain a healthy environment. Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by the supervisor. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of residents at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety. Effective communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed. Work Environment This position involves working indoors in a healthcare facility environment. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used as required.
