Job Description

A Housekeeper Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning the guest rooms throughout the hotel during and after being occupied by a guest. Schedules vary based on hotel occupancy; weekend and holiday availability is required. During periods of high occupancy, overtime is encouraged. Ensure that the standards of excellence for guestrooms cleanliness are followed. Attend all the daily line-up meetings in the housekeeping office. Report anomalies in the guestrooms to your supervisor or dispatcher. Keep the service areas and closets clean at all times. Maintain the maids cart organized at all times.
Specific Daily Guest Room Cleaning Responsibilities:
Make the bed following the steps specified in the training manual. Clean the bathroom following the steps specified in the training manual. Dust the room and replace all the amenities throughout the room. Vacuum the room thoroughly. Follow all service standards specified in the Housekeeping Standards. Report and turn in any Lost and Found items from the guestroom or hallways. Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly to any requests and acknowledge all guests all the time.
Qualifications:
Ability to clean a minimum of 13 rooms in 8 hours shift. Ability to stand/walk for 8 consecutive hours Ability to safely lift 40+ lbs. Ability to communicate effectively with leadership Extremely physical position with prolonged standing, walking, bending, carrying and lifting
