This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity for experienced cleaning professionals seeking flexible scheduling and the ability to accept assignments that fit their availability. Compensation $25.00-$30.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, reliability, service area, client feedback, and assignment requirements. Responsibilities Perform residential cleaning services including recurring maintenance cleans, deep cleans, move-in/move-out cleans, and specialty cleaning assignments Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces according to company standards Dust, vacuum, sanitize, mop, and maintain client homes with attention to detail Communicate professionally with clients and management Arrive on time and complete assignments as scheduled Follow client preferences, including eco-friendly cleaning requests when applicable Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of residential cleaning experience preferred Must have reliable personal transportation and be willing to travel to client homes throughout Northern Virginia Must possess a smartphone with text and email access Must provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment Must be comfortable working around pets Must provide at least two professional or client references Must successfully pass a background screening before accepting client assignments Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States Must obtain and maintain general liability insurance before receiving regular client assignments Strong attention to detail and professionalism required Excellent communication and customer service skills Application Requirements To be considered, applicants should provide: Two professional or client references Photos of completed cleaning work (before-and-after photos preferred if available) Online reviews, business profiles, or client testimonials (if available) General service areas Availability A formal résumé is not required. We understand many experienced cleaning professionals operate independently and may not maintain a traditional résumé. Relevant experience, references, reviews, and examples of work are acceptable in lieu of a résumé.
