Job Description

HOUSEKEEPING
Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. The Housekeeping Attendant cleans and services building areas according to established procedures. The position performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions. Mops and buffs floor areas, vacuums carpets, spot cleans floors and carpets, using appropriate solutions and arranges furniture and equipment back in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area Collects waste from all areas of facility, sanitizes trash cans and keeps waste disposal area sanitized. Collects or distributes soiled or clean linen.
REQUIREMENTS
Related experience in the health care setting (preferred) Knowledge of proper industrial housekeeping technique and procedures (required) Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies (required)
